A eight-hour strike by Italian air traffic controllers would affect a number of Aer Lingus flights, the airline has warned.
The Italian national air traffic controllers has stranded hundreds of passengers at airports across Italy today as airlines were forced to cancel most of their domestic and international flights.
Aer Lingus said flight to Rome EI 502, due to depart Dublin at 7 a.m. has been rescheduled and will now leave at 2 p.m.
Flight, EI 503 from Rome, due to depart at 12.15 p.m. has been rescheduled to leave at 7 p.m.
Flight EI672 to Linate Airport, Milan is cancelled. Passengers booked on this flights have been rebooked on EI676 to Malpensa, Milan, leaving Dublin at 14.15 p.m.
Flight number EI673 from Linate to Dublin is also cancelled. Passengers booked on this flight have been rebooked on EI677 leaving Malpensa, Milan for Dublin at 18.40 p.m.
Italian carrier Alitalia has dropped 243 flights, while some European airlines are being forced to abandon or re-schedule their connections in and out of Italy.
Passengers holding reservations on the disrupted flights should contact Aer Lingus Reservations on 0818 365 000 to confirm travel arrangements.
The industrial action is a result of a dispute over pay and conditions.
