The Sinn Fein president, Mr Gerry Adams, is willing to appear before the Oireachtas sub committee on Northern Ireland, a spokeswoman has confirmed. The Oireachtas body is a subcommittee of the Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Mr Jim O'Keeffe, chairman of the sub committee, said that Mr Adams had been asked to give evidence as the SDLP leader, Mr John Hume, and the Alliance leader, Dr John Alderdice, had already done.
