Loyalist paramilitary leader Johnny Adair has had his appeal against his return to prison postponed until September, and even then it may not go ahead.
The case was due to be heard earlier this month but was put on hold becausethe legal aid authorities had still to decide whether or not to fund his case.
The Court of Appeal was told that a decision is still outstanding and thecase was stood over until after the summer recess.
Adair (39) is appealing against the dismissal of his judicial reviewchallenging the decision to send him back to prison last January.
Secretary of State Paul Murphy said Adair had breached his licence byengaging in widespread crime including directing terrorism, drug dealing,extortion, money laundering and procuring and distributing firearms.
