An elderly Co Antrim man told a jury yesterday that he was "shocked" when informed by his wife that his stepdaughter had made allegations of sexual abuse against him.
The 67 year old man denied that he had ever abused the girl in any way or that he had had sexual intercourse with her at any time. The man, who cannot be named to protect the girl's identity, is on trial at Belfast Crown Court for sexually abusing the girl, now 17, from the age of four, and raping her between 1991 and July, 1994.
