AC Milan have admitted that David Beckham's personal sponsorship deals could prevent the Manchester United player from moving to the San Siro.
The newly crowned European Champions are just one of the clubs that the media has recently linked with the England captain.
However Beckham's lucrative contract with Vodafone poses a problem for Milan who count one of the mobile telephone giants' rivals among their many sponsors.
"There is a problem that today would lead me to say that David would not come to Milan," Milan vice president Adriano Galliani, who has day-to-day control of the club owned by Italy prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"His personal sponsor, Vodafone, is a competitor of Milan's sponsor Tim. He has a two-year contract left, in other words it is difficult.
"Everyone wants to know about Beckham and I have to say that the English star intrigues me a lot," added Galliani.
