At least 50 people are feared dead after a river ferry with 80 passengers sank in southern Bangladesh today, police and the vessel's owner said.
The ferry capsized in the Bishkhali river, 350 kilometres from the capital, Dhaka.
The ferry's owner, Mr Sattar Khan, said the boat might have hit an underwater sand bar in the long, undredged river in early-morning fog.
Police said rescuers were trying to find survivors and bodies. No other details are yet available.
