ABOUT 300 people took pan in an anti-drugs march in north inner Dublin last night. The march stopped at three alleged drug dealers' homes in the Sheriff Street and North Wall area. At one house the alleged dealer remonstrated with the protesters, who shine spotlights in the windows and shouted slogans. At the two other houses, members of the suspected dealers' families also argued with protesters.
Gardai watched, but made no attempt to interfere. Occupants of all three houses were told by protesters that the alleged dealers had 24 hours to leave the area.
