The Government is to give £300,000 to help tackle the drug problem in Bray, Co Wicklow. Launching a report on a drug service development plan for the town, the Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation, Mr Chris Flood, said the money would be used to help divert young people from drug use to more healthy and productive pursuits.
The VEC is to develop proposals with the Bray Drugs Working Group after a consultation process.
