ABOUT 200 people attended the removal in Dublin last night of Peter Judge, the drug dealer shot dead in Finglas early on Sunday morning.
The remains of the man known as "the Psycho", who is believed to have been involved in at least two murders, were received at St Canice's Church by Father Paul Thornton.
The parish priest, Father Pat Mangan, read from the book of Lamentations. "The fours of the Lord are not all past. His kindnesses are not exhausted. Every morning they are renewed. Great his faithfulness."
Father Thornton said the family of Peter Judge has suffered "a nightmare" over the last three days. The death of a loved one was always a shock, but more so when it was sudden and violent, he said.
Meanwhile, gardai investigating the murder consider the killing could be the work of a "professional" hitman.
Judge was shot dead in a car parked at the Royal Oak pub in Finglas.
Both bullets fired at the drug dealer went through the brain, the first entering the skull an inch behind the right ear and the second through the back of the head, apparently fired as the gunman leaned into the car.
A team of detectives based in Cabra is focusing on a number of suspects including a particular Finglas family.
The funeral takes place today after 11 o'clock Mass.
