RUC officers investigating the murder of Mr Frankie Curry, a prominent dissident loyalist, have ruled out two men from their inquiries.
Three men were seen running from the scene directly after several shots were fired at Mr Curry on Wednesday as he crossed waste ground off the Shankill Road in Belfast. Two of the men, seen running in the direction of Agnes Street, came forward to police and have been eliminated from inquiries. It is now believed that a lone, masked gunman carried out the attack. He also fled the scene of the murder in the direction of Agnes Street.
