TWO women were arrested last night after gardai and Customs officers seized £20,000 worth of drugs at North Wall, Dublin Port.
Some 700 morphine based tablets and a quantity of a heroin substitute, Physeptone, were seized.
The women who were arrested were car passengers on the ferry from Holyhead, Wales and were stopped while disembarking at 7.15 pm. One gave an address in England, the other in Ireland. They were held for questioning at Clontarf Garda station last night under the Criminal Justice Act.
The seizure was a joint operation by members of the Garda drug squad and the Customs National Drugs Team.
