Boxty, colcannon, spit roasted lamb, black pudding, crubeens, oysters and mussels, and many more traditional foods will be served in Collooney, Co Sligo during its 1798 weekend today and tomorrow when French and Crown forces decend on the village for the Battle of Carrignagat.
Visitors will be able to see brown bread cooked in a skillet served with butter churned on the spot, or tin buckets made to order. Local produce will also be available for sale.
