Sydney - The remains of up to 12 adults have been found dumped in acid vats in the vault of a vacant bank in a tiny Australian town, reports said yesterday. Police in South Australia said they had found at least two bodies, male and female, at Snowtown, north of Adelaide, although Det Supt Paul Schramm said it was probable there were more.
The afternoon edition of Sydney's Daily Telegraph said at least six bodies were discovered and several of the victims were known paedophiles. The ABC and Nine television networks said the toll could be as high as 12.
