Algiers - Security forces shot dead 10 Muslim rebels in southern Algeria in separate clashes this week, local newspapers reported yesterday. The reports of the new violence appeared a day after Algerians buried 25 people killed in a bomb explosion in central Algiers on Monday. The Arabic daily, El Khabar, said the 10 rebels were killed in clashes with the army this week in the province of Djelfa, 156 miles south of the capital.
