Award-winning playwright Marina Carr has focused her attention on a younger audience than usual with her play The Giant Blue Hand. The world premiere takes place this Tuesday in the The Ark Cultural Centre, Eustace Street, Dublin 2.

Directed by Selina Cartmell and featuring household names including Catherine Walker ( The Clinic) and Don Wycherley ( Bachelors Walk), this fantasy adventure takes parents and children to a world where nothing is quite what you'd expect. Here you'll encounter two little boys, a giant blue hand, Aunt Farticus Fume in her pink wellingtons and Queen Dalia, the Empress of Dreamers.

For booking information visit www.ark.ieor telephone 01-6707788. Tickets are keenly priced at €10 and €8 and the play runs until March 22nd.
