Richie Hayes
Best holiday?A cruise on Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas, when we were just married. We flew to Florida with two friends for the eight-day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale taking in St Thomas, the Virgin Islands, Nassau and Saint Martin.
Worst holiday?Weatherwise, it was a trip to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria. It was after a three-month run of the panto, and my wife Erica (pictured with Richie, above) who is a dancer, and I needed a break. On arrival a storm began and it lasted four days.
Dream holiday?I'd love to do Route 66 in an over-the-top motor home. I love America, the life it offers, the food, the technology.
Favourite place in Ireland?I like Killarney.
Holiday reading?I've tried and I can't read on holidays. I'll sit there for five minutes and then I lose concentration. But I could listen to music all day on holidays, Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, Michael Bublé and Christy Moore.
Where to next?Hopefully we can go away to Florida in mid-January.
