Events at Glenveagh National Park, June 5th-6th:Morning walk: a 7am walk where you can learn how to get close-up shots of wildflowers with the guidance of a professional photographer. Cost: €15, including breakfast. Tel: 074-9137090 (ext 3609).
Art demonstrations from noon to 4pm: see an artist at work capturing wildflowers through watercolour and oil painting. Cosmetics demonstration and sale from 1pm to 3pm: watch how wild plants and flowers can be used to make soap, ointments and lotions with a local expert.
Guided walk at 1pm (€5pp): get off the beaten track to learn how to identify wildflowers with a visiting botanist.
Family walk with fun activities from 3.30pm: departs from the Nature Centre and is free of charge. Children’s wildflower art and poetry: free of charge from noon to 5pm.

Galtys walk
The Gus Tobin Memorial Walk takes place on Saturday, June 11th. The walk covers 26km, requires a good level of fitness and takes about nine hours to complete.
