Still on bags, a hot New York bag range, with a vaguely posh hobo style and triangular design which is stocked in Bloomingdales, can now be found in Clerys, Dublin.
Called Ananas (the French for pineapple), it's the brainchild of Jennifer Lagdameo, who spent time travelling in Asia and working for the Asian Art Library in the Smithsonian before launching her bags three years ago to considerable acclaim. Clerys stocks four styles from the spring collection including the Furoshiki (right), a small shoulder bag in yellow, a glossy navy, red or black with wooden buckles, and Emily, which comes in blue, champagne and gold (€315).
