University College Cork and molecular gastronomy

Culinology sounds like a joke from the old Maureen Lipman British Telecom ad (“You got an ‘ology’ you’re a scientist”). But Dr Michael Cheng, a US professor of culinology, will be among the speakers for a workshop at University College Cork on June 18th which will look at molecular gastronomy in Europe. An Irish case study will be presented by Dr Róisín Burke from the Dublin Institute of Technology. Darina Allen, Ross Lewis and Martin Shanahan will talk about the chefs’ perspective on it all.
