Legendary musician Ronnie Wood, who has put his hand to more than guitars, and is an acclaimed artist, has collaborated with Liberty of London on an accessories collection that will launch next month, and will be stocked exclusively in Ireland by Brown Thomas.
Liberty’s creative director Tamara Salman translated a selection of Wood’s most vibrant paintings into prints and on to leather, cotton, jersey, foil and nylon. Echoing the success of Stephen Sprouse’s artwork for Vuitton, the new collection features three of Wood’s graffiti-style paintings, with “I Feel Like Painting” slogans, which appear on scarves, T-shirts, clutches, shoppers, racer-back dresses and make-up bags. The company hopes the pieces will become collectors’ items, and has priced them accordingly – from €280 for a scarf with guitar motif to €625 for a shopper.
