GALWAY BARRACKS
As part of Heritage Week, members of the public have an opportunity to visit the barracks and museum at Renmore in Galway today, with tours from 10.30am to noon and again from 3pm to 4.30pm. galwaycivictrust.ie
BANTRY HOUSE

TREETOP ADVENTURE
This August saw the launch of a treetop adventure course at JungleNI, an outdoor adventure centre near Moneymore. The obstacles, up to 60 feet off the ground, include ropes, swinging logs and balancing beams. Suitable for ages 12 upwards, courses cost £10-£35. Booking essential. thejungleni.com

CLONMEL FESTIVAL
The Cluain Meala festival celebrating Clonmel’s medieval heritage starts tomorrow with architect Margaret Quinlan giving a free lecture and walk around the town’s old walls. Other events over the course of the weekend include banquets, fancy dress and food fairs. www.southtippculture.ie
