An excellent project, this, for offices, classrooms, kitchens and meeting places: the United Nations is inviting entries for their 2011 poster campaign to counter violence against women and girls.
Create an ad that includes the words “No to Violence Against Women” and your design could win you and or your organisation €5,000, which will be presented at an awards ceremony in Madrid next November.
The competition is building on the success of the 2010 competition, which supported the Millennium Development goals, for which more than 2,000 ads from 34 European countries were received (see wecanendpoverty.eu for details).
The competition opens for submissions on March 8th, International Women’s Day, and ends at midnight on May 30th. The winner will be announced on November 25th, the International Day to Eliminate Violence Against Women. All entries must be made through the competition website, Create4theUN.eu, where you’ll also find all the rules and conditions.
