Interiors stylist Dorcas Barry is selling part of her collection of vintage linens at the Newmarket Brocante – a furniture and homewares fair with live music and a lovely cafe – in Dublin 8 on Sunday, March 21st.

Barry spends a lot of time in France, trawling French flea markets to feed her linen obsession, but her collection has grown so large that she needs to offload some. She has tablecloths, sheets, pillowcases, aprons, tea towels and trimmings, many of which are very rare. There are lots of beautiful coarse weave linens, which would be stunning for cushions and upholstery, as well as vintage French velvets and cottons. Prices range from €5 to €20 for pillowcases, while sheets and tablecloths start at €10, and there are lots of different pieces of cotton embroidery and lace, starting at about €4. Vintage velvets, in green, teal, purple, turquoise and gold, are €7 per metre. Contact Barry at dorcasbarry@eircom.net or see newmarketbrocante.com.
