Imagine spending early spring days working in an Italianate-style house overlooking the River Boyne . . . Throughout the month of April, there will be courses in painting, sculpture and drawing at Rossnaree House in Slane, Co Meath.

The techniques of the Florentine Art School will be introduced by Adam Markovic with instructions on everything from canvas stretching and preparation, to portrait and figure drawing and painting from life. There are one-week, two-week and month-long options, residential and non-residential, in one of the finest settings in the country. The programme will run from April 1st to 30th, excluding the Easter weekend, and is overseen by Aisling Law, the proprietor of this wonderful house.
