“Nightscape” is a photographic exhibition of Dublin city at night by Karl Smyth, shot over the past 12 months. The venue is the Joy of Cha tea shop on Essex Street in Temple Bar, which recently made wallspace available to visual artists.
All photos on display are available to purchase (including the bicycle shot pictured) and are in limited print editions of just 10. Karl also recently started the “Sunday Shot” public portraiture project in the tea shop’s garden. The photoshoots take place between 2 and 5:30pm, and each Sunday has its own theme. These shoots engage with the public and allow them to participate in art. The last themes were Coffee Cigarettes and Looking Confused.
