THE BIG news for the Swedish brand is the arrival of its new 9-5 flagship, a vital component for its future as an independent brand after years under the umbrella of General Motors.
New owner Koenigsegg hopes to leverage the car to give the overall brand some much-needed attention in the coming months, as it battles with the German brands, which are expanding their ranges and stealing much of the limelight.
The new 9-5 shares its platform with the Opel Insignia, although offering very different styling and features both inside and out.
