TOYOTA HAS reportedly hired a cargo ship to store 2,500 cars in stock at the southern Swedish port city of Malmoe as the terminal overflows with parked vehicles.
There are 30,000 cars standing at the port of Malmo, including the Toyotas on the ship, Bart Steijaert, head of car operations at Copenhagen-Malmo Port, said yesterday.
Malmo has space for 27,500 cars in its port.
Toyota hired the Morning Glory cargo ship from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics to store the cars, Steijaert said.
