Routes to avoid around the country
DUBLIN:
Works on R108 (south road parallel with main runway at Dublin Airport) between Collinstown Lane junction and R122 St Margarets junction to mid-September; stop/go system 7am-7pm Monday-Friday and 7am-1pm Saturdays; allow extra time or take other route.
Works on Cromwellsfort Rd, from Walkinstown Roundabout to Crumlin Cross for two weeks; delays between 10am-4 pm.
Gleanageary Road Lower closed to through traffic from today to September 18; diversions Glenageary Rd Upper, Albert Rd Upper, Albert Rd Lower, Glasthule Rd and Summerhill Rd.
River Rd, Ashtown, closed for works until 6pm on Monday August 29th from Ashtown Rd Junction for 200m east of junction along River Rd; diversions in place.
KILDARE:
Delays in Castledermot until mid-October; works suspended from 4pm each Friday to 10am each Monday.
Road between Kill and Straffan (including Straffan Village) closed until September 12th for resurfacing and pipe laying; avoid area if possible.
MEATH:
N52 Kells/Ardee Rd closed for works until Monday, September 19th from Mandistown Cross to Cassidy's Cross, Grange, a distance of about 11.3km; diversions in place.
Footpath works on Railway St, Navan, until about September 25th; no on-street parking permitted for this period.
LOUTH:
Works on A1 at Feede north of Dundalk to next Sunday; single lane and temporary lights 9am-5pm daily; long delays.
Ballymacscanlon Roundabout Dundalk is back to normal pattern; works go on in the area to at least September 19th; new access/exit for Faughart/ Jonesborough traffic.
WICKLOW:
Works next Saturday and Sunday on R761 from Three Trouts Bridge to Glenbrook Park in Greystones; single lane.
R755 Rathdrum-Laragh Rd closed 8am-7pm daily next Monday to Friday; diversions at Knockrath Little via L6124 at Ballinderry Upper.
GALWAY:
Works until further notice on N18 approaching Gort (Kiltartan area) in both directions.
GALWAY/CLARE:
Minor delays on N18 between Gort (Galway) and Crusheen (Clare); works in place until beginning of September.
LIMERICK:
Sir Harry's Mall (Long Lane to Abbey Bridge underpass) closed permanently; access only from Athlunkard St.
KILKENNY:
Kilkenny Arts Festival until next Sunday; expect delays.
TIPPERARY:
Works on N76 Clonmel/ Kilkenny Rd from Glenbower to South Lodge from next Monday to Friday, September 16th .
Works on N24 Cahir/ Tipperary Rd at Ballydrehid until mid-October.
LEITRIM:
Work of new roundabout on N4 east of Carrick- on-Shannon until Friday.
SLIGO:
Diversions south of Hughes Bridge (Queens Store Rd) until further notice for tie-in of inner relief road with bridge.
