Routes to avoid during the week ahead
DUBLIN: Oldcourt Road in Tallaght closed for construction of new road, and laying of storm pipes and water mains. Alternative routes via Oldcourt Rd (R113). Ballycullen Rd, Killinniny Rd and Oldcourt Rd (R113) or via Oldcourt Rd (R113), Killinniny Rd, Ballycullen Rd and Oldcourt Rd (R113).
The Lusk-Rush Rd (Station Rd) in Lusk closed between roundabout at Rathmore Rd and entrance to Orylnn Pk Estate, for laying of sewerage pipes. Alternative routes from centre of Lusk to Rush and vice versa via Rathmore Road (known locally as the Inner Relief Road).
Sandyford Rd closed from Main Street, Dundrum, to Wyckham Bypass, for realignment of Sandyford Road. Alternative route via Dundrum Bypass, Wyckham Bypass and vice versa. Local access will be maintained.
KILDARE: Major road widening works on N7 Dublin-bound between Kill and Blackchurch for third lane on N7, with 65 km/h speed limit: city-bound lanes are slightly narrowed.
Works in Naas on Dublin Rd, Fishery lane and at Maudlins interchange, for the N7 road widening and interchange scheme.
LOUTH: Old Dundalk-Ardee Rd (N52) closed for construction of Dundalk Western bypass, 1.25km southwest of junction with Knockbridge Rd southwest for 300m. Local access will be maintained.Alternative route for diverted traffic to Dundalk is N52, N1 Southern Link Rd to Carrolls Junction, Dublin Rd, Hill St, Dundalk.
CAVAN: Roadworks on N55 Ballinagh Road between Moynehall Junction and Cavan Motors. Temporary traffic lights.
CARLOW: Resurfacing on N80 Carlow/Wexford road north of Ballon, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Traffic is single lane controlled by traffic lights.
WATERFORD: Roadworks at Butlerstown Road and Old Tramore Road: single lane traffic with traffic lights. Delays expected, avoid the area if possible.
Green Rd closed from junction at The Six Cross Roads to junction at Ballycasin Hill, Ballybeg Drive. Alternative route is in operation.
LIMERICK: L8054 Liskilly Road, Patrickswell closed from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. until Saturday for installation of a watermain as an extension of the Coshma Group Water Scheme. Diversions are clearly signposted.
CORK: Delays likely on N20 between Rathduff and Mallow, for construction of new "2+1" scheme (Where the road is divided into two to prevent overtaking, a central median is installed).
St Patrick's Street and Daunt's Square closed from junction of Grand Parade - access to Cornmarket Street from Kyrl's Quay and Lavitt's Quay only.
DART: Upgrade works will result in the following arrangements:
Saturdays, Sundays (and Bank Holiday Mondays), DART upgrade works will take place between Pearse and Howth/ Malahide.
There will be no DART services between Pearse and Howth/ Malahide. Additional buses will operate on Dublin Bus routes adjacent to the Northside DART: routes 29A - 31 - 31B - 32 - 32A - 32B - 42 - 42A - 42B.
Full DART services will operate between Pearse station and Bray/Greystones.
