BMW GROUP Ireland has reduced the price of its entire model range, including the newly released X1 and 5-Series GT models. The new pricing structure puts an end to the brand's Sterling Collection, which were cars imported from the UK market, with prices set by the individual dealer, writes PADDY COMYN
The newly launched 5-Series GT now has a starting price of €69,630, a €15,485 reduction from the price first published a few weeks ago. The X1 model will start at €33,130, a €4,045 reduction.
Other significant reductions include €5,900 off the price of an entry-level 318i ES, which now starts the 3-Series range at €32,650. The entry-level diesel, the 316d now starts at €33,440, a €3,875 price drop.
The popular 520d diesel saloon has been reduced by €7,020 and now starts at €40,380, while the 1-Series range now starts at €24,580, a 15 per cent reduction. At the luxury end of the range there is €16,030 off the price of the 730d SE and €11,950 off the X5 30d SE, which now starts at €73,210.
The largest price reduction is the €46,705 taken from the price of the 760Li M Sport, which now starts at “just” €184,900. In the Mini range there are also price drops too, with the entry-point of the range, the Mini First now costing €18,250. The Mini Cooper diesel drops €4,150 to €21,200 and there is €7,005 off the price of the John Cooper Works edition which falls to €7,005.
