Revo iBlik DAB/WiFo RadioStation
Price: €229.95 Buy: Apple Store / store.apple.com/ie
This is almost certainly one of the coolest iPod Docks we have come across. Stick this beside your bed and it works as a digital radio alarm, with a choice of over 11,000 stations from around the world and wireless streaming of your iTunes library.
For anyone who likes listening to BBC World Service – or indeed the New York Police scanners – then this is ideal. You can listen to DAB radio stations or online radio from your Mac. You would need an internet connection to get the best from this but it’s not badly priced either.
Nike+ iPod WatchRemote
Price: €69.95 Buy: Apple Store / store.apple.com/ie
If you have decided, after years of sloth, that running is the way to go, you’ll probably have loaded your iPod with the Rocky Soundtrack and hit the streets in a hugely ungraceful fashion.
Nike+ works by using a sensor in your shoe to send information to your iPod – now there is a WatchRemote, a wireless remote to control your music and workout features.
You can pause, skip or turn up the volume and also get feedback on your workout. You will require the Nike+ Sport Kit (€29) as well as the appropriate Nike shoes to work all this.
Canon Legria FS22 Camcorder
Price: €767 (plus €13.90 shipping) Buy: pixmania.ie
CAMCORDERS HAVE come a long way since the days of the large black lump that looked like a rocket-launcher on your uncles shoulder.
Now, parents across the country watch their children’s childhood through one of these. The Legria FS22 is a good ‘un, weighing just 230g, with 32GB internal memory and the ability to also record onto an SD card.
The Dual Shot mode of this camcorder means you can take decent stills, as well as video.
Creative Vado HD

Thanks to websites like YouTube, your embarrassing moments are seldom more than a click away, to be retained for the rest of time.
Now you can log and capture even the most tedious of life’s out-takes with this tiny video camera from Creative.
The Vado HD is about the size of a small mobile phone but packs a lot of muscle. It captures up to two hours of high-defintion video on its 8GB memory, and comes with a wide-angle glass lens.
It’s dead easy to upload as it comes with a built-in USB cable and you can load up to YouTube with just one touch of a button.
