Yamaha releases two new scooters

BIKE NEWS: YAMAHA HAS just released two new X-Max scooters.

Based on the same design as Yamaha’s popular 500cc T-Max scooter, the X-Max 125cc and X-Max 250cc mopeds are geared towards two-up riding.

Both new machines have increased storage capacity, a new dashboard and new rigid frames.

They also have a new footboard position, which is designed for more flexible riding on longer journeys.

Storage is also greatly increased in these two nifty scooters, with the newly designed comfortable double seat providing enough space for two helmets, and a spacious glove compartment at the front of the scooter.

The new frame is suspended on twin rear shocks with four adjustable positions and long-travel telescopic forks.

It has 15-inch front and 14-inch rear tyres, which will be handy for riding over bumps and potholes and twin-piston 267mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes.

The X-Max 250 is available in white, black, slate and silver and the X-Max 125 is available in blue, white, slate and black.

Honda plans Super Club bike

MEANWHILE, HONDA has an electric Super Cub motorcycle in the pipeline.

The Honda EV-Cub is a lightweight, electric two-wheel-drive version of the popular Super Cub.

According to reports from motorbiking website, visordown.com, this electric machine could be on sale as early as next year if there is demand for it.
