MERLIN CAR Auctions is launching its new online auction website today.
Its current, twice-weekly car auctions in Naas attract record numbers of individuals and dealers.
Under the new system, buyers can go online and view the catalogue of vehicles to be auctioned via the firm’s website. Bidders then register online before the auction and pay a deposit of €1,000, which is refundable if no purchase is made.
When the auction starts and the relevant lot comes through, the bidding process begins. Bids will be accepted from the floor and online simultaneously and the highest bid buys.
Payment can be in cash, credit card, banker’s draft, or by electronic transfer and must be made within 48 hours.
