Honda launches 750 Black Spirit
HONDA HAS launched the Shadow 750 Black Spirit.
This brand new 52-degree V-twin machine is a shaft-driven cruiser. According to Honda, “its delivery is tuned for deep pulses of power and torque”.
Toyota, Yamaha work on hybrid
TOYOTA AND Yamaha are working together to produce the first hybrid motorcycle.
Both a 20bhp internal combustion engine and an electric motor will power it.
The water-cooled, 250cc horizontal single engine is capable of sending power to the rear wheel or the electric generator to keep batteries topped up, according to Visordown.com.
Yamaha updates its YZF R6
MEANWHILE, ACCORDING to motorcycle news website, MCN.com, Yamaha has tweaked and tuned its YZF R6 to make it more powerful.
Changes include revised YCC-I (Yamaha’s chip- controlled intake) funnels, air box, exhaust system and ECU mapping, according to MCN.
Register for 2009 Fun Run
THE ANNUAL Motorcycle Fun Run in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation Homecare for Children takes place on Saturday week.
It starts and finishes at Lynham’s Hotel, Laragh, Glendalough, Co Wicklow and costs €25 per motorcycle.
