Limited edition BMW R 1200 RT:BMW MOTORRAD is preparing to release a limited edition R 1200 RT motorcycle.
Only 200 will be available in the UK and Ireland in sapphire black metallic with a toning black top box, white indicator lenses and chrome exhaust.
The R 1200 RT is renowned for being swift and steady, with outstanding fuel economy and assortment.
Specifications include ASC (automatic stability control), tyre pressure control and ESA (electronic suspension adjustment).
At around €13,000 these hot limited editions will be coming to BMW’s showroom off the M50 in Finglas soon.
According to BMW’s Dave Humphries, they “are due to start arriving in about two months’ time”.

Building of rare Norton bikes
Meanwhile, high up in the Rocky Mountains, at the Colorado Norton Works (CNW), in the US, building is taking place of a unique and rare batch of Norton Commandos.
“Matt Rambow, head of CNW, is building just 13 Norton Cafés in batches, a project that will take until the summer of 2010 to complete,” according to MCN magazine.
Priced at around €29,000, the Norton Café motorcycle is an 858cc British parallel twin. Specifications include Comstock fuel injection, Brembo disc brakes, a CNC-machined cylinder head, a hydraulic clutch, belt primary drive and hand- formed alloy body panels.
