The Schiranna has radial-mount Brembo brake callipers and a giant swingarm.

Both bikes use the Rotax-built Helicon 1125 powerplant engine Buell uses in its new 1125R sportbike and 1125CR cafe racer.

Benelli to unveil TNT 899 bike

Benelli is said to be preparing to unveil the TNT 899 cafe racer motorcycle.

The new bike is expected to share many of the component parts of the TNT 1130, including the radial Brembo brakes and lots of carbon fibre.

New format for MotoGP class

STARTING IN 2011, the 250cc MotoGP class will be replaced by a new class called Moto2.

New rules cite that bikes will be limited to 600cc engines with redlines no greater than 16,000 rpm, less for Twins and Triples, ruling out unusual or exotic machines.

Also, the engines will be offered for sale to competitors after each race for around €20,000.

This should make for some exciting racing. It will also encourage new talent and smaller teams.
