The Irish Times Magazineis pleased to announce the first in a series of tutored wine masterclasses, to be held in our offices at 24 Tara Street, Dublin 2. The tastings are open to all Irish Timesreaders, though spaces are limited. Tickets are €20 each, with all proceeds going to the Rape Crisis Centre.

Each tasting will be hosted by Irish Times wine correspondent John Wilson, and tutored by a visiting wine producer, who will include a selection of older vintages and other rare wines. The first tasting, on June 26th, will feature the wines of Monte del Frà, one of the leading and most dynamic producers in the Veneto region of north-east Italy. This is a family-run operation, and Marica Bonomo, who looks after export sales, will show a range of red and white wines, including a Bianco di Custoza, Lugana, Valpolicella, Ripassa and Amarone. The tasting will begin at 6.30pm and will last for approximately 90 minutes.

To apply for tickets to attend the Monte del Frà tasting, please phone 1515-444144 (or 0901-2930524 from Northern Ireland) stating your name, address and daytime number.

To enter by text, simply text IT4 with your name, address and daytime telephone number to 57000 (ROI) or 81108 (NI).
