Eight of Ireland’s leading contemporary-furniture designers are uniting to form an Irish pavilion at the forthcoming 100% Design show in London. This is the first time that the group, which formed last May, has shown collectively in London.

“It’s a way of trying to create a bigger awareness in the market, a snapshot of the best in Ireland,” says Arthur Duff of Duff Tisdall, who, along with lighting designer Shane Holland, masterminded the initiative. The group also includes Edward Bisgood, known for his award-winning ironwork, glass-maker Michelle O’Donnell, carpet designer Patricia Murphy, and furniture makers Ben Gabriel, John Lee (whose Tornado table is pictured below), Saskia Sykes and RDS award winner Garvan de Bruir. A preview of the exhibits before they go to Earlscourt in London will be held at Duff Tisdall’s headquarters, in Goatstown, Co Dublin on September 17th-20th.
