THE Vintners Federation of Ireland has paid £1.5 million for the headquarters building of the Irish League of Credit Unions (ILCU), at Castleside Drive, Rathfarnham, Dublin 14. The building, which dates from 1984, has 9,100 square feet of private and open-plan offices on two levels and 23 car-parking spaces in the grounds overlooking Rathfarnham Castle. There is planning permission to add another 4,500 square feet of space.
The Vintners Federation is currently based in a Georgian building in Upper Mount Street, which will either be offered for sale or to let through Davin and Co., the agency which acted for it in the acquisition of the new headquarters.
Elliott and FitzGerald handled the sale for ILCU, which is moving to refurbished offices in Lower Mount Street.
