THE Tower Hotel Group is continuing to expand its business activities. It is due to complete work in April on 27 two-bedroom suites at the Castlerosse Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry, and is also planning to provide a further 28 bedrooms at the Temple Bar Hotel, Dublin. The £1.6 million Killarney project is the latest in a series of developments at the hotel since the group, acquired it in 1986. In addition, 42 bedrooms were added along with a leisure centre with a 20-metre-long swimming-pool. The suites will have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and livingroom to accommodate six people. They will cost from £150 per week in low season to £495 in the peak period. The Temple Bar hotel will have a total of 136 bedrooms, when the extension is completed. The Tower group, a joint venture between Abbey Travel Group and FBD, also operates the Tower Hotels in Waterford and Sligo.
