The second phase of the Oldbridge development at Lucan, Co Dublin, is being launched this weekend with 30 three-bedroom, semi-detached, houses on offer from £127,500. When agent Leahy Property Consultants released the first phase in June, the houses sold out immediately. Since June, a further 30 have been sold.

A new house style has been added to the original two designs. There are three different layouts to choose from on the site, which is close to Griffeen Valley Regional Park and Lucan Leisure Centre. The development is near over 80 acres of open parkland. There will be a total of 181 houses in Oldbridge, laid out in a series of cul-de-sacs. Two builders, Lyncourt Developments and Courtland Estates, have joined forces to develop Oldbridge. Lyncourt Developments was responsible for Moy Glas in Lucan and Courtland Estates built the award-winning Woodleigh scheme, also in Lucan.

All the houses are three bedroom semis, with half-brick front elevations and well-landscaped open areas. Standards of finish are high with good quality fitted kitchens. The original Lyncourt house has a stairwell rising from the centre of the house with a baywindowed sittingroom, and a large kitchen/diningroom with utility room. Upstairs are three bedrooms, a family bathroom and an en suite. The Courtland house design has a more traditional layout with a good-sized sittingroom and double doors to the kitchen/familyroom. The main bedroom upstairs is en suite. A third design, introduced by Lyncourt, has an innovative ground floor layout. The porched front entrance is at the side of the house, allowing the sittingroom to extend to the full width of the house. A nicely-fitted kitchen and utility room adjoins a dining area which has doors to the rear garden. The three bedrooms are upstairs.
