The State is back again in the Dublin office market looking for space for the Ombudsman's office. The Office of Public Works is believed to be close to agreement on taking an assignment of 21,000 square feet in Ossory House, at Leeson Street. The space is being vacated by US pharmaceutical research company Quintiles, which is moving to larger accommodation at East Point Business Park in the Dublin docklands. If the deal goes ahead, the OPW will take responsibility for Quintiles' 25-year lease of Ossory House, which began early in 1995. The overall rent stands at £351,500 per annum, equating to almost £16 per square foot and a further £1,000 for each of the 21 carparking spaces. Ossory House forms part of the Earlsfort Centre Development. Jones Lang Wootton and Hamilton Osborne King have responsibility for assigning the lease on Ossory House.
