DUBLIN 1: FROM €240,000Close to the IFSC and the O2 Arena, apartments at Canon Hall are competitively priced and ready for occupation, writes Fiona Tyrrell
FIRST-TIME BUYERS are the target of a new homes launch in the docklands this weekend – one of the few genuine new launches this season.
Canon Hall on East Road, Dublin 1 is a new scheme of 61 apartments located on the corner of East Road and Sheriff Street, close to the Docklands railway station.
The 10-storey development is complete and ready for occupation.
Prices are competitive: one-bedroom apartments are from €240,000 while two-bedroom units have starting prices from €270,000.
Apartment sizes are decent as well. One-bedroom units range in size from 43 to 56sq m (460 to 600sq ft) and two-bedroom apartments are from 65 to 95sq m (685 to 1,020sq ft).
In line with other developers, McDermott O’Farrell Ltd is offering a decent package to buyers which includes solid timber flooring in the hall, livingroom and bedrooms, and car-parking spaces. Kitchens have been fitted out with white goods, spot lighting and hardwood work counters while bedrooms have gloss wardrobes.
Joint selling agents Hooke MacDonald and Owen Reilly are opening show units from today to give buyers a flavour of what is on offer. Maintenance fees will be around €1,800 for two-bedroom units and €1,400 for one-bedroom units.
A number of homes have own-door entrances and all feature good storage space.
Other standard features at Canon Hall include high-tech wiring that will allow for home entertainment systems and “plug and play” access which gives residents access to a range of Sky television services.
The scheme is located within striking distance of the IFSC and the O2 Arena.
