An Bord Pleanβla has overturned a decision by D·n Laoghaire Rathdown County Council granting planning permission to Shannon Homes Investments Ltd for 629 homes and a Barrett Cheshire Care Unit on 36.2 acres off Blackglen Road in Sandyford, Co Dublin. The appeal was lodged by An Taisce. The board said that having regard to the separation of the site from existing community facilities by the Southern Cross motorway, it was considered that the development would result in a substandard form of scheme
