ANOTHER hotel is planned for a site adjacent to Dublin Airport. Outline planning permission has been sought for a six-storey block to accommodate 200 bedrooms at the Airport Garden Centre, beside the Ulster Bank at Cloghran. Fingal County Council recently granted planning permission to Great Southern Hotels (GSH) to proceed with a 147-bedroom hotel near the Forte Crest Hotel at the airport. GSH, which is a subsidiary of Aer Rianta, is expected to provide strong competition for the Forte hotel.
