A decision to grant permission for a 30-bedroom hotel on the site of an old mill in Laragh has been granted by Wicklow County Council. The existing mill building was sold by Lisney in November 1998 for £680,000 to John and Patrick Casey, who run the Glendalough Hotel. There is planning permission for a three-storey extension to the mill to accommodate a public house, 10 en suite bedrooms and a cookery school. The new development will see the refurbishment of the mill to house the reception area and two conference rooms, with a separate three-storey building to contain the bedrooms, a restaurant and bar, and a leisure centre.
