The Carvill Group is selling 54 apartments and houses on Templemore Avenue in East Belfast from plans today. Prices are competitive compared with similar schemes in Dublin, starting at £47,950 sterling for a one-bedroom apartment.

The Langtry Court development is located in the Albertbridge Road area, a mile from the city and on a main bus route, near Connswater shopping centre. Joint selling agents are Hooke & MacDonald and Philip Johnston & Co.

Although not in the centre of town, the Templemore area has potential as an up-and-coming residential location. Central Station, all the major road networks and the rejuvenated Laganside are within easy reach. Not far from the development, Northern Ireland's landmark millennium project, Odyssey, is almost completed. This will include a world class science discovery centre, an IMAX cinema and a 10,000-seat indoor arena.

There will be 30 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and 24 two, three and four-bedroom houses when the development is completed in January, 2001. The first 25 units being released today will be ready for occupation by June next year.

The houses are a mix of three-bedroom terraced townhouses and large four-bedroom semidetached houses with garages.
