A new hotel is planned for Swords in north Dublin. An application in the name of N. Gilna, William Street, Drogheda, Co Louth, provides for a 72-bedroom hotel at Malahide Road, Mountgorry, Swords.

Also in north Dublin, William McCann of Belcamp House, Northern Cross Route, has sought permission to develop a hotel at Belcamp House.

In west Dublin, leading restaurateur Graham O'Sullivan has sought permission to convert a retail unit into a restaurant at Newlands' Cross shopping centre near Clondalkin.
