Quinta do Lago on the Algarve is still the favourite destination for Ireland's new millionaires - as Hamilton Osborne King found when it staged an exhibition at a Dublin hotel last weekend. The villas and townhouses at Monte Da Quinta golf club aren't built yet but already 15 have been sold. These villas don't come cheap - most cost between £550,000 and £760,000 - yet there were 10 buyers for them on the day, while a further five townhouses were booked at between £330,000 and £440,000. Quinta do Lago has plenty of attractions for the Irish, with its golf courses, restaurants and family friendly facilities. It's also virtually owned by an Irishman, none other than Denis O'Brien, who snapped up the freehold on most of the development a couple of years ago for around £20 million.
