Metal grille bath makes for a hot, textured look

The bath is clad with 20 individual ventilation grilles, each screwed into place on a timber frame and mounted against the bath.

“We bought out several hardware stores,” admits the owner. The idea adds a surprising element of texture to a room that often lacks it.

The large-scale Orchid, block-print wallpaper is from the Cole and Son Contemporary I range.

The architect owner sourced it from Wrights Interiors in Armagh (048-37515455).

Elsewhere the owners make use of several Farrow Ball colours. The mix of French Grey and Strong White in their south-west facing livingroom adds additional warmth to the space.
